Great Falls street cars in 1918 – Minute 3

So in 1918, the railroad transferred me to Great Falls. Great Falls at that time in ’18 was 25,000 people. Very nice, very nice people. Street cars here, 5 cents a run by the Montana Power. It cost 5 cents to ride. They had to have that because there was 3000 people working at the smelter right out here. And the street cars run clear to the smelter…because there was no cars at that time. Just all street cars or horses. We had horses right close in here. That’s the way it was.
